Plaut Manor
Located on Eglinton Avenue, west of Caledonia, Plaut Manor was the culmination of a five-year endeavour by Micah Non-Profit Homes, a non-profit board formed from Holy Blossom’s Social Action Committee. The building was opened in 1993 in response to the homelessness crisis and the need for affordable safe housing for victims of domestic violence. It was built under the Homes Now Programme, providing predominantly subsidized housing and an extensive range of support programming. The building was named in honour of Rabbi Gunther and the late Elizabeth Plaut in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the field of human rights. Kehilla has worked with the Micah Homes Board to provide property management services to the building since 1995.
