Kehilla Residential Programme

is the housing agency of the Jewish community, providing affordable housing and financial assistance to vulnerable community members. As a non-profit charitable organization, Kehilla is committed to strengthening lives through safe, stable and affordable housing.

Kehilla is seeking a creative, strategic and highly organized Communications and Marketing Specialist to lead the organization’s communications, marketing and brand initiatives.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will develop and execute communications strategies that strengthen Kehilla’s visibility, support fundraising efforts, deepen community engagement, and showcase the impact of our work. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with experience in digital marketing, content creation, social media and project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies aligned with organizational priorities

  • Create compelling content for newsletters, annual reports, donor communications, social media, website and promotional materials

  • Manage and grow Kehilla’s social media presence, including content creation, scheduling and engagement

  • Maintain and update the organization’s website and digital communications platforms

  • Support fundraising campaigns, community engagement initiatives and special events

  • Ensure consistent messaging and brand identity across all communications

  • Collaborate with leadership, staff and Board committees on strategic communications initiatives

  • Support photography, video and storytelling initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

The Opportunity

Compensation

Salary: $60,00 to $65,000 annually

 

    • 5 plus years of experience in communications, marketing or public relations

    • Degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field preferred

    • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communication skills

    • Strong organizational and project management abilities

    • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite

    • Experience managing websites, social media and email marketing platforms

    • Creative, collaborative, proactive and detail-oriented

    • Non-profit experience is an asset

    • Familiarity with the Jewish community/culture or willingness to learn

    • Passion for community impact and social responsibility
